My Pastor John W (Willie) Wilson and his wife Ruth are pictured here outside their home
in Carteresville, Georgia, in 1993.  This picture was sent to me during the Christmas holiday
then. They were my pastoral leadership of Trinity Baptist Church from 1976 to 1978!   They
were chock Full of the Spirit, and lived a Godly Life before their congregation.
Willie is presently retired but has preached at Adairsville Baptist during special occasions.
He preaches nothing but the Bible and nothing but undiluted truth!! I remember many a fire
and brimstone sermon from his pulpit! I also remember seeing Heaven in my spirit's mind
when he conducted revivals, brought souls to know Christ, and spoke to our hearts from
God's Holy Word! I will never forget Willie and Ruth. They have had so many setbacks in
health, yet  have emerged from the prayers of many "moving mountains" through holy
intercession!  May God bless him wherever he preaches, and may God uplift this precious
couple with His Spirit as they continue to Serve Him with all their hearts.

Willie loved his congegation, and as a caring Pastor, he and the Living God he serves never
failed me in my greatest time of dispair!! My Specific Precious Memory: I remember a six
hour prayer vigil at Sam Howell Memorial Hospital (Now Humana) in Cartersville when my
Wife was in emergency surgery, where Willie prayed at my side with me.  My wife's survival
of that operation in 1976 is a living testimony to the power of prayer.  Her blood was a rare
type, which severely complicated the operation, so it was flown in by chopper from Atlanta!
I didn't know that back when it was happening, but found out later. This was on a Tuesday
evening.  When I saw that she survived the surgery and was in recovery, the next day I sang
the song "Sweet Hour of Prayer" in Wednesday evening Service at Trinity Baptist Church.
It was a praise service when I was through singing, as I could not stop thanking Jesus for
saving my wife's life, and providing me with a Pastor with such great faith support!

This is a very very special couple, the Wilsons!  God Bless them!!  When they finally get called
home, I'm quite confident that they will have tons of crowns awarded them for a lifetime of service!! They are humble and will not talk about their accomplishments  much.   They Live
the Christian Walk, the words spoken are few. Their living for God's Service does the talking!!
